+ Laboratory Testing

The laboratory of General Consulting Ltd & Co. – Istria was founded in 2003. The field of services includes soil mechanics, rock mechanics testing and testing for aggregates. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment, most of which is automated. The data from laboratory tests are processed using commercial and in-house software. The equipment is periodically calibrated according to the established accreditation procedure. The personnel of the laboratory are highly qualified and are trained continuously, while internal checking of testing procedures takes place twice every year. The laboratory takes part in the inter-laboratory experimental scheme of AMRL once every year, as part of the accreditation procedure.

A large number of projects have been executed by the laboratory (over 200), which refer to a significant number of soil and rock tests (8000) during the period of operation. The tests were executed for highway, railway, dam, building, landfill selection and other infrastructure projects, focussing mainly on the design of embankments, cuts, underground structures, foundations, etc.
